Washington Buffoons

My optimism is waning. Our two party system is broken and I can't see how it's going to be fixed. The Republicans and Democrats just can't seem to make real compromises that move the stimulus forward and get this country back on track. The Republicans have been whining about spending measures in the bill and demanding tax cuts, tax cuts, tax cuts. These guys are talking out their asses. I have now heard another Senator repeating something that John Boner, oops, I mean Boehner (sounds like boner to me) said, referring to bike lanes as part of traffic infrastructure, that he doesn't want frivolous spending on useless projects like bike lanes. What a bunch of idiots. I guess that means Senate bill 2686 for complete streets is not going to make it too far. I am getting a little tired of narrow minded jerk offs making statements that are just plain stupid. Anyway, I hope they can get their heads out of their butts and start working for us instead of against us the way they are now. So frustrating. Bike accommodation for streets if proven to add value to communities. Bike lanes ease congestion, improve air quality and increase the quality of life for the people that use them and for the people that don't. Everybody wins.
